SalterMitchell will lead this workshop. SalterMitchell is amarketing and communication agency focused on change -- behavior change,culture change and changing public opinion.

Participants will be introduced to the concept and application ofbehavior change outreach in a way that will shift how they think aboutand conduct educational outreach efforts going forward, and will leavethem feeling more confident about putting this practice into action. Theworkshop will cover key steps to creating a successful behavior changeeffort -- from determining one's target behavior and audiences, toconducting research, to developing a plan with creative componentspurposefully designed to influence behavior. Each participant will begiven their own behavior change toolkit.

During the workshop, participants will create the beginnings of abehavior change marketing campaign. We suggest they come prepared with atopic or project they want to work on. We also recommend participantsattend in groups of two or more people who are working on the same issueor for the same organization so they can continue to work togetherafter the workshop is over.
