Announcing a 3-day Advanced Topics in Plant Identification Course at the Weeks Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. The course is emphasizes the dominant plant species found in wetlands, adjacent uplands, and the transition zone between the two. Field sites will include a variety of habitat types in the coastal area. Most of the course time will be spent in the field seeing, discussing, and identifying plants. Take advantage of this opportunity to enhance your knowledge of coastal flora.

Participants are expected to have a working knowledge of general botany and plant terminology. Participants should bring hand lens and other tools of the trade for use in the field. Course material includes a notebook of training information. Participants are encouraged to bring with them plant guides/manuals with which they are familiar.
