Cool off this Summer with a fantastic exploration of our crystal clear seagrass ecosystem! This class for adults will teach you all about seagrasses and their habitat through hands on activities, group investigation, and instruction from experienced marine biologists. The class begins with a guided snorkeling tour of the protected seagrass beds of St. Joe Bay, then you’ll rendezvous back at the St. Joseph Buffer Preserve to eat snacks and build on concepts from the tour.
WHERE: The class will leave from the St. Joseph Bay Buffer Preserve, meet in the Main Lodge.
WHEN: August 19th, 2016 at 10:00am-3:00pm Eastern Time. (August 26th is the rain date.)
Registration is required and is $25 per person. To reserve your space in the class, you must pay in advance by calling 850-670-7700 to pay the class fee.
Please bring your own snorkeling gear.
Please bring lunch or a snack with you as food will not be provided. There will be a cooler of ice water if participants want to bring a reusable bottle.
